Happiness never decreases by being shared

I love the energy that comes with creating, with the making and the forming of something either completely new or of something I have never done quite in the same way before. It is always an act of discovery driven by curiosity. I also enjoy encouraging others to discover and fulfill their own creative potential. It is fascinating to learn about what they are moved to do.
Creativity is about abundance, about pointing the way forward to new possibilities and discovering not only the mysterious sources that spring from deep within ourselves, but that can surface in others as well. Benjamin Disraeli said, “The greatest gift you can do for another is not just to share your riches but reveal to him his own.”
We create alone, because we wish to discover what is buried within us and be delighted with what emerges. We create in order to replenish our own actual work processes. And we create together in order to enjoy the adventures and challenges of finding answers from both within and without. Creativity is about giving and receiving. “For me, and for so many of us, creativity is a direct springboard to much that is positive in life. It is the catalyst to becoming energetic, vibrant, joyful, generous individuals and contributors to society.” (HAVE YOU EVER HAD A HUNCH? The Importance of Creative Thinking.)
Ahhhh Ellen, This is such an appropriate blog to be reading for Thanksgiving. It’s all about being positive, giving, and receiving. I am propelled (actually flying around inside myself)to make a few comments after reading this uplifting blog: I LOVE the word abundance and your quote from Disraeli .Your understanding that creativity has no ownership and no boundaries, enables you to recognize the creative potential in others, and to be so generous and encouraging with that recognition. Creativity indeed, is “the gift that keeps on giving”.There are those of us who when they feel the magic and excitement that creativity brings into our lives , want to encourage and inspire others to explore that very same spark within themselves. Ellen, you are the best example of someone who sees and understands the unique creative potential of the people you encounter, and you help to bring that creative potential to fruition. Many thanks!!!!
