I particularly like painting with bright colors, but I also enjoy creating with the stark contrasts of black and white and gray scale tonalities. There is a strength that emanates from high contrast art as well as from shades of limited color.

So sometimes, I paint in mainly black and white with hints of brighter colors thrown in. White, however, is also a bright color because it highlights a work of art and contrast powerfully against the boldness of black paint.

Black and white art is powerful and intense, and the effect can be bold and dramatic. It is also very flexible and can fit wonderfully with contemporary or stately interiors. I enjoy contrasting my brightly colored paintings with my black and white ones. Together, they contribute to the interest of the art, making the interior design less predictable and more surprising.
